Abstract

The use circuit has a load (RL, CL), a power source (E2) to the load (RL, CL). The transient overcurrent limiting device has a current amplifier connected in parallel with the switching device. This amplifier comprises a first (Q1) and a second (Q2) transistor with their collectors connected. The base of the first transistor (Q1) is connected to a control circuit, its emitter to the base of the second transistor (Q2) and the collector and the emitter of the second transistor (Q2) are connected respectively to the input and the output terminals of the switching device (S). The control circuit has a switch (K1) to control sequentially the deblocking of the amplifier and closure of the switching device (S).
