Abstract

Couverture de piscine. Des bras de support sont fixés à un bras central de façon à pivoter dans un plan. Une feuille de matière imperméable flexible est fixée à chacun des bras et s'étend entre eux. Le bras central pivote dans un plan vertical et on le fait monter et descendre au moyen d'un pignon et d'une crémaillère actionnés manuellement placés dans un montant supporté par une monture de pivotement placée sur la bordure de la piscine, de sorte qu'on peut faire passer le bras central d'une position où il est au-dessus de la piscine à une position où il est au-dessus de la bordure. Une chaîne sans fin actionnée manuellement située dans le bras central porte une plaque fixée de façon à pivoter à des bras rétractables fixés aux bras de support extérieurs de façon à pouvoir pivoter. Un câble empêche, lorsqu'il est actionné par un treuil, de pénétrer dans la piscine lorsque la couverture est entièrement abaissée. Application aux piscines pourvues de moyens de sécurité contre les noyades, notamment d'enfants.
