Abstract

Ce réacteur à haute efficacité d'échange thermique comprend trois tubes coaxiaux 1, 2 et 3 qui forment entre les tubes 3 et 2 un conduit annulaire pour le fluide de refroidissement, et entre le tube 2 à très haute pression et le tube 1 un conduit annulaire formant la zone de réaction exothermique, tandis que le tube intérieur 1 à basse pression forme la zone de préchauffage. Le monomère est introduit sous haute pression en 6 et chauffé dans le tube 1 par la chaleur de la réaction. La réaction s'amorce en A, le catalyseur étant introduit en 7. Un régulateur 9 règle la température en A, par exemple en injectant de l'éthylène frais prélevé en 6 par le conduit 8. Des moyens peuvent être prévus pour équilibrer les pressions entre les tubes 2 et 1.
