Abstract

1. Surface heat exchanger for the recuperation, by a circulating fluid, the waste heat contained in heat-carrying effluents, more particularly combustion fumes, and comprising two concentric tubes, an inner tube (2) defining a central passage (4) for the effluents to be cooled and an outer tube (3) surrounding the inner tube at a distance so as to define therebetween a peripheral annular space (5) forming a "water jacket" in which the fluid to be heated flows, and which communicates with the outside through two pipes (8, 9) provided on the outer tube (3) respectively for the intet of the fluid to be heated into the annular space (5) and its outlet, which exchanger is characterized in that it comprises one duct (10) passing longitudinally through the central region of the inner tube (2) and mounted with the water jacket (2, 3) so that the fluid to be heated passes through the exchanger while being divided therein into two parallel circuits.
