Abstract

a. L'invention concerne les amidons carboxyméthylés sodiques et concerne aussi un procédé pour leur fabrication. b. L'amidon carboxyméthylé sodique est produit par éthérification de l'amidon de blé ou de fécules par l'acide monochloracétique ou avec du monochloracétate de sodium en présence de NaOH en solution aqueuse, puis épuration avec du méthanol ou de l'alcool éthylique. c. Ce produit, dont la constitution est analogue à celle de la carboxyméthylcellulose sodique, peut remplacer cette dernière ainsi que les dextrines et amidons dans toutes leurs utilisations.
