Abstract

A device to enable the driver of a road vehicle to change a wheel with the minimum of effort. It enables the wheel to be centred on the studs without having to support the wheel for a long time. The device consists of a threaded nut on the stud of the wheel hub or brake drum. The nut is extended by a shell piece which enables it to be positioned by a lever with little effort. To do this, the holes in the wheel are opened out ot 13 mm diameter so that the extended nut can pass through. To compensate for the opening out of the wheel holes a washer is fixed to one of the studs.
