Abstract

The locking device has a non-circular section column fixed in a non-rotatable manner to a base against which is a wheel is supported with the column passing through the wheel opening. A fixing element with an inner transverse section corresponding to the column section may be non-rotatably fixed on the column and has a projection which extends outwards to contact an edge of the wheel. The projection extends radially from the column so that when a force is applied to turn the wheel about the column the projection and the fixing element prevent the wheel turning. A stop device prevents the fixing element from separating from the base w.r.t. the column.
