Abstract

The fan unit has a peripheral intake opening, an impeller inside a fixed ring and a deflector. At the level of the intake is a bundle of tubes (11) which both form a protective grille and a heat exchanger, cooling the fluid passing through the tubes. The fluid can be that used to drive the impeller (3), by hydraulic motor. The pipe bundle can comprise pipes bent into circles and connected by one or more manifolds (16) to the pressure fluid circuit. The individual pipes can have throttles so as to distribute the fluid flow evenly between them. The unit is particularly for use when spraying fruit trees.
