Abstract

The male coupling isused for a coaxial cable (5), e.g. used to supply the signal from a radio or TV aerial to the receiver. It comprises a coupling pin (1) connected to the inner wire (8) of the cable (5), surrouned by an insulating sleeve (2). An outer metal casing (3) is clamped at one end around the insulating sleeve (2) and around the coaxial cable (5) at the other end, the cable insulation being previously stripped from the outer conductor (7). A resilient contact, sheath (13) is positioned around the metal casing (3), having a number of vanes fixed to a ring at one end and curved longitudinally.
