Abstract
A drive for a cable way system has a set of pulleys (21) driven by a motor, and over which the cable (14) passes, at the point where the carriages (1e) for the cabins pass a guide rail (14). An idler roller (23) is connected to a tachometric dynam-(24) forming part of a drive control system. This speed monitoring device (24) is connected to a motor speed controller (25) interconnected with another speed monitor (26) operated by the main return pulley (11) for the cable, and also with arrival and departure monitors (27, 28) at the ends of the path of contact between the cable (12) and pulleys (21). A similar system for breaking is located on the return strand of the cable.
