Abstract

The motor powered by the explosive burning of hydrogen and oxygen is internally protected against corrosion. The resulting heat is recovered in an exchanger and is used to heat an electrolysis vessel. The vessel is securely sealed and can withstand high internal pressure. The electrolysis vessel produces hydrogen and oxygen which is mixed with recycled and cooled vapour from the motor before being fed back into the motor. To start the process, natural gas and air are fed into the motor before substituting the vapour mixture which is fed through an anti-blowback device and also a multiway valve which directs the vapour when cold into free air and when warm through a compressor into the motor.
