Abstract

1285123 Revaporizing liquefied gases BLACK SIVALLS & BRYSON Inc 1 July 1970 [22 July 1969] 31958/70 Heading F4P [Also in Division F1] In a L.N.G. revaporizing process wherein a stream 32 is passed through a bank 40 of coils 25 heated by gas turbine exhaust gas in a line 22 and wherein the so-vaporized N.G. is passed through a line 42 and a bank 50 of coils 14 heated by inlet air for the turbine, the temperature e.g. 10‹ F. of the N.G. in line 42 is such that little water ice is formed outside tubes 14 of bank 50 and further cooling of inlet air is effected by adding to the N.G. leaving bank 50 at 88 a further stream 38 of L.N.G. and passing it through a second bank 58 of tubes 14; the temperature of the mixed stream being such as to prevent ice formation outside bank 58. The N.G. leaving bank 58 at 100 is also mixed with L.N.G. in a line 64 and passed through tubes 14 of a bank 70 and the N.G. exhausted therefrom through a line 72 is heated at 71 and in part delivered through a consumer line 80 and in part through a fuel line 81 to the turbine 18 which drives an electric generator 20.
