Abstract

A discharge arrangement to deliver measured amounts of powdered or granular material from a silo etc., or liquids from a filter or other piece of apparatus, has a driven rotor (5) with delivery recesses or pockets (4) extending radially from its central axis. An efficient seal is formed by a cap or stator (3) resting on top, mounted around the outlet tube. This forms a very simple seal, with self compensation for wear, due to the stator resting or floating on the rotor. The two may be kept in intact by a pressure difference or a mechanical weight. A sealing ring (2) can be located between the stator and the outlet tube.
