Abstract

The electrical connector has two parallel rows of pins which are easily assembled and diassembled within the overall insulated block of the connector with minimal risk of electrical disconnection due to bad fitting. Each pin (11) has an individual insulating sleeve (15) which fits tightly into tabs. These are forced inward on insertion of the sleeve after the pin itself has been placed in position such that they trap it by snapping into place behind a shoulder (12) on the pin. A plain cylindrical tool (25) inserted from the plug front serves to free the pin when required.
