Abstract
The driving shaft (2) is extended to form a circular hollow casing (1) having a number of turbine blades (9) supported by a ring (7) inside and leaving an annular space (3) around them. The driven shaft (6) is extended to form a similar rotor adjacent to that on the drive shaft and having slightly shorter blades (10). A cover plate (4) encloses the blade assembly and, on an extension (5) surrounding and forming a bearing for the driven shaft, carries a sliding sleeve with gears at each end. One gear is in constant mesh with teeth on the cover plate and the other is brought into mesh with a gear fixed on the driven shaft, by sliding a sleeve along.
