Abstract

1448097 Centrifugal pumps SULZER KSB KERNKRAFTWERKSPUMPEN GmbH 12 Dec 1973 [16 Dec 1972] 57683/73 Heading F1C A centrifugal pump (not shown) is driven by a pump shaft 2 having a coupling piece 7 rigidly connected to a coupling piece 6 of a bearing shaft which is supported axially and radially in a bearing casing 1, the bearing shaft being driven through a coupling 4, 8 by a motor (not shown), the assembly comprising the bearing casing 1 and the coupling part 4 being axially movable to allow access to the pump and bearings. The coupling parts 6, 7 have gear teeth on their adjacent faces Fig.3 (not shown) whilst the coupling parts 4, 8 are permanently in mesh via an internally toothed sleeve 3. A telescopic casing 5, 5', 5" is provided between the bearing casing and the motor casing.
