Abstract

The mower (1) is supported by a runner (2) on the ground. Above the runner are two guide wheels (3), a V-belt (4) to which the impact cutter-blade is fixed. Above the mower (1) is a cylinder (6) which rotates so that the implements (7) fixed to it move backwards. Between the cylinder (6) and the mower (1) is a guide-piece (9) which slopes upwards behind to form a duct (10) between it and the cylinder (6). The duct (10) widens out behind towards a baffle plate. A comb (12) is positioned so that its projecting teeth (13) which may be in the form of tines or roller, pivot into the duct (10). In front of the cylinder (6) is a deflector (14) above an in front of the cutting area and extending the width of the cutter. The deflector (14) can be adjusted in height and position. The deflector (14) may form part of a casing (6).
