Abstract
Manually-operated adjusting knob, particularly for use in clocks, is attached to one end of a rotatable cylindrical shaft (1) which carries on its central section a drive wheel or toothed wheel (2). The other end of the shaft has a stop (4) attached to it having a larger diameter than that of the shaft so that it can limit axial movement of the shaft. The shaft also carries at a short distance from the stop a circumferential locking projection (5). A holder (7) for the shaft has a guide opening (7a) and axially running cutouts. The holder has contact sections (8) at the end of the guide opening which permit the locking projection to pass but prevent the stop from being withdrawn from the opening. By pulling or pushing the knob, the drive wheel can be engaged with oe or other of two wheels (10, 11).
