Abstract

The setting mechanism is operated by moving the winding stem into a second axial position, and rotating it. The seconds wheel (18), whose axis carries the seconds hand, is provided with a heart shaped cam (16), with a hammer (15) pivoted about a fixed axis biased into contact with the cam (16). The hammer (15) is controlled by means fixed to the winding stem, so that it is held away from the cam (16) except when the latter is in the time setting position, when it presses against the cam (16) to bring this into a position corresponding to the zero setting of the seconds hand.
