Abstract
1,192,197. Time switches; mechanical interrupters. A. G. BURRELL & CO. Ltd. 6 Nov., 1968 [9 Aug., 1967], No. 36491/67. Heading H1N. In a timer such as that of Specification 1,192,195 having an assembly of axiallyspaced frictionally-driven cams, as disclosed in Specification 1,192,196, for example, any cam 9 is angularly settable by manual rotation of the shaft 11 while the selected cam is held stationary by engagement of a lug 24 thereon with a shoulder 23 on a lever 17 when the latter is lifted (Fig. 4, not shown) against the action of a coil spring 20. A single lever 17 is pivoted on shaft 18 along which it is axially slidable so as to be positioned under the cam selected for adjustment. A flanged wheel (13, Fig. 1, not shown) at one end of the cam assembly carries a scale (14), and a knob (15) is coupled to shaft 11 via one-way reduction gearing, to assist accurate setting of the cams.
