Abstract

The folding metal step ladder has two parallel sets of inclined posts (1, 2) spanned by flat steps (10). The steps are hinged (6) to the sides of the posts. The posts rest on the ground at the bottom and are supported by hinges on a plate metal bracket at the top, which also carries an inclined supporting frame (13) and creates a working platform (17). Both the inner posts and the bracket carry wheels, and the ladder collapses to form a flat load carrying trolley.
