Abstract
The heat exchanger comprises a number of plate stacks placed together, each separating a primary fluid passage from a secondary fluid message. Each stack has two opposite faces, each having two adjacent end surfaces containing the primary and second fluid unions. On emerging from the stacks, the fluids flow into two pipes parallel to the plates and leading to a manifold. The manifold has, opposite each stack, a lengthwise partition perpendicular to the plates and ending at the dividing line between the adjacent end surfaces. On opposite sides of the partition are transverse walls each cutting off communications between one of the surfaces and one of the pipes.
