Abstract

Heat exchanger with several heat transfer plates which are combined to a stack over whose separate faces different fluids flow away where the flow allows a heat exchange between the fluids. Specifically, each of the heat transfer plates (8, 36, 40) has flat end sections (9, 10) and a middle section (11) which connects the end sections. Each middle section is so formed that it has several continuous, longitudinally extending, alternating corrugations (12) so that there are alternating back sections and troughs (14). The heat transfer plates are so combined to a stack that the back sections of adjacent plates are in contact to form flow channels (15) which consist of facing troughs. The back section and troughs have a generally semi-circular cross-section form.
