Abstract
The engine has pressurized air starting control, with the air flowing from a source into the combustion chamber, via a starting air conduit, and a starting valve, which is positioned in the cylinder head. The starting air conduit (3), and the connection conduit (13) between it and the starting valve (15), are located within the cylinder head (1, 2). With several cylinder heads positioned behind each other, the starting air conduit extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the engine, and there are bridging sections (6) between the cylinder heads. The starting air conduit has condensed water outlets (11). The connection conduit opens into the air conduit, so that there is a height difference between that point and the lowest point of the air conduit. The bridging sections are tubular, and secured against axial displacement.
