Abstract

Movable collecting unit, of parent patent is for use in the wine-making industry, for connecting the outlet valve of a weighing device to the valve of a pump for evacuating the grapes to the place of use. The new device of the addition, is simplified and the inlet and the outlet are arranged at different levels. The lower part of the tank outlet is connected to the valve and the grapes flow, in the direction, into the collecting unit assembly and through a second valve to the pump. This transfers the grapes in the direction. The sealing means between the two valves consists of a number of elastic, inflatable toroid rings which are inserted in annular housings formed in the sleeve. When inflated with air these form a perfect seal. The incurved shape of the elements assures that the grapes can drain by gravity from the valve to the other. There is, therefore, no risk of undesirable dripping when the constituent elements of the unit are uncoupled.
