Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase a fluid passing area extremely and to reduce an increase of pressure drop, by inserting a cone-shaped strainer in a strainer main body.
CONSTITUTION: A cone-shaped strainer 4, constructed such that the dia. of an inlet part 1 of it is formed to be properly larger than that of a piping 5 and similarly the dia. of the bottom part 2 of it smaller than of the part 1 and the part 2 is provided with small holes still more smaller than that of the part 1 and the part 2 is provided with small holes still more smaller than many small holes provided to its circumferential wall part 3, is inserted and set in a main pipe 6, and the bottom 2 is supported by a stiffening frame 7 at the end part of the pipe 6 which is connected to the piping 5 at its both ends respectively through reducers 8,9. Fluid, from the upper stream side of the piping 5, flows into the strainer 4 through the part 1 and flows out of the strainer 4 to the down stream side of the piping 5 after removing the dust contained in the fluid at the peripheral wall part 3.
