Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a feeding of uniform volume of oil returned back to each of the compressors by a method wherein a suction end of the oil return piping arranged for each of the suction pipes of each of the coolant compressors is opened at a bottom part of the suction header and toward the upstream side of the flow of the coolant.
CONSTITUTION: Suction end 61 of the suction pipe 6 for use in suction coolant gas is opened at the upper surface of the suction header 7 and the capilary tube 10 for returning oil is arranged for each of the suction pipes separately from the suction pipe 6. The tube 10 is opened with its suction end being placed near a bottom part of the suction header 7 and toward the upstream of the flow of coolant, then raised upwardly to cause the other end to be connected to the suction pipe 6 at its intermediate part. Thereby, the oil in the bottom part in the header 7 is uniformly fed into the suction pipe 6 little by little by overcoming the raised height h due to a differential pressure of the coolant.
