Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely hold a prescribed level of sealing at all times, by providing an indicator in a fluid feed passage communicated to sealing adjusting fluid chambers sealed with adjusting rings and a main unit. CONSTITUTION:Spaces are formed between stepped wall parts 7, 9 of a main unit 1 and disc parts 10c, 11c of adjusting rings 10, 11 and between slide surfaces 6, 8 of the main unit 1 and internal ring parts 10a, 11a of the adjusting rings 10, 11 as sealing adjusting fluid chambers 27, 28, and fluid flows into the chambers from a feed passage 29. A nipple 30 is screw mounted to an inlet of the feed passage 29 mounted with a hose 32 connected to a pump 31. An indicator 33 is fixed to a main unit 3 under a condition communicated to one end of the feed passage 29 by a branch passage, and tension of a spring 36 of the indicator 33 is set in accordance with seal surface pressure of a seat 20 for a ball 19 in a ball valve. In this way, the seal surface pressure of the seat 20 can be maintained even for a leak of fluid in the valve.
