Abstract

The combined sliding trigger and safety catch is for an underwater harpoon, increasing safety, accuracy and ease of operation. The trigger (5) sliding in the breech is formed by a rectangular piece with a hollowed out portion (2) extending in the axial direction. This has on the rear part a centring boss and stop (3) locating the return spring (4), and it is also equipped with a guide roller (6). at its forward end is a holding and release ramp (7). The catch secured by the ramp can have an arm (9) engaging with it and parallel arms forming a fork and equipped with bearings for its rocker spindle (13).
