Abstract

The unit is for the conveying of goods in pipe lines, using a medium flow, e.g. water, crude oil, oil products etc. It has a housing with rollers, positioned in two row and radially displaceable relative to the pipe line axis. The housing carries a turbine wheel (4), with blades (13) which are at an acute angle (alpha) to the direction of the medium flow. The shafts (8) of all rollers (5) in at least one row are mechanically connected to the turbine wheel and are at an angle (beta) to the medium flow directinn, the size of which is determined by the direction of movement of the unit. When the unit moves against the medium flow, the angle (beta) between roller axis and medium flow is max. of 30 deg.
