Abstract

1,062,839. Thrust reversers. ROLLSROYCE Ltd. Nov. 26, 1965, No. 50247/65. Heading B7G. A gas turbine engine propulsion nozzle has an axially slidable tubular portion 24 attached to vanes 21 carried on an annular member 17 mounted by rollers 26, 27 on axially extending rails 25. The member 17 is moved axially by hydraulic or pneumatic rams 31, and is also connected by links 38 to eyelid flaps 33, 34, which pivot when the member 17 is moved rearwardly to deflect the exhaust into the vanes 21 which deflect the exhaust forwardly.
