Abstract

The furniture construction system uses a clip of cruciform section. Two opposite arms (1) and (3) are provided with serrated surfaces whilst the other two arms (2) and (4) are smooth. An alternative design of clip forms a T-section by dispensing with the arm (3). The T-section form can be used with a channel section with a central rib to form an enclosed box section. The cruciform section can be used with two similar channel sections to form a larger box section. A tubular section can be formed with the cruciform section clipping two half-round sections together. The cruciform sections can be provided with transverse webs for attachment by screws to other profiled sections.
