Abstract

A clip for retaining a pipe or tubular component comprises a synthetic plastic body which includes a circular section opening bounded by the base and two thighs. The pipe is pressed into the opening by resiliently deforming the clip and is retained by a 'U' shaped closure whose two sides have inwardly facing projections which are sprung into corresponding grooves on the outer sides of the thighs and thereby compress the thighs against the pipe. Clip has an aperture in the base for attachment to supporting structure. In a modification a number, of grooves along the length of each thigh cooperate with rows of teeth on the closure. In a further modification tapered dowels engage holes at the base of the thighs to urge the thighs against the pipe.
