Abstract

The base module of the school desk is a sledge form tubular steel sub-frame with two horizontal parallel feet bars (1, 2) four posts (5, 6, 11) and two horizontal parallel bearer rails (3, 4). The bearer rails support the desk tops. The two front posts (5, 6) may house the legs of a portal (7) which supports the front of the desk top. The portal may slide vertically relative to the posts to adjust the rake of the desk top. A vertical spindle (12) which receives the chair support may be fixed to one of the rear posts (11) of the sub-frame. The chair support may be a vertical tubular assymetric cross (18, 19).
