Abstract

The mobile stand may be used as a computer terminal and has two superimposed shelves (2,4) for input and print-out modules. The input module may be of a keyboard-screen type and is mounted on the top shelf (4). The stand may be used at public service stations e.g. bank or shop and supports a telescopic height adjustable portal frame (3). The top shelf (4) is mounted on the bar (11) of the portal, inc (15) for rotation of the input module through 180 deg., and stand members are hollow to house service cables. The base (11,-13) of the stand may be of 'I' shape in plan with a wheel to each corner. A slotted box section post (61,62) is mounted on each node of the 'I' and the portal has legs (101,102) of similar reversely orientated section which slide in the posts. The lower shelf (2) is of caisson form, is mounted on the posts (6), may have a sliding board seat for the output module, and may also seat reverse paper stacks.
