Abstract
1,232,941. Clothes airers. R. B. WATSON & CO. Ltd. 27 Jan., 1970 [27 Jan., 1969], No. 4369/69. Heading A4U. In a dismantleable drip-drying rack upper and lower ends of pivoted, X-form side frames 1 are received in sockets (6), 11 in base members 5 and in a rigid top frame 7, having clothes supporting rails 8, to retain the members 2 of the frames 1 in extended, crossed position. The sockets 11 are in the form of wire coils secured to the ends 10. The rack is preferably made of plastics-coated wire and is associated with a rectangular drip tray of flexible plastics, e.g. polythene, of length equal to that of the members 5 and having-corners which slope inwardly at the same angle as the members 2 in crossed position. The dismantled rack and folded tray can be packed in a normal suit case.
