Abstract

The corner guide is used in actuating mechanisms of windows which are excessively high for convenient actuation. A handle actuated mechanism can be readily replaced by a manually actuated crank mechanism or vice versa without changing the corner design. A number of moving window panels can be actuated simultaneously each of which has one corner guide. The corner guide hasa nonrotating but vertically moving nut (23) which is connected to one end (49) of a horizontal actuating rod with a flexible corner guide. The nut is actuated by rotating the threaded spindle and vertical movement of the nut is converted into horizontal movement of the actuator.
