Abstract

The plastic guarantee seal is particularly for a bottle with a protruding bead round the neck, and comprises a screw cap with a strip-type guarantee portion at the lower edge fitting round the bead so as to be damaged along a weakened line on opening. The guarantee portion is a cylindrical extension (5) of the cap (1), having a number of weakened lines running entirely in the vertical direction. Between these lines it is unweakened, without any horizontal weakened line or undercut portion. Thus the cap can be axially ejected from a diecasting tool without any mechanism for expanding it radially.
