Abstract

The seat has its back, front and rear legs as separate assemblies. The inner end of each articulates to provide multi position seating. This articulation comprises a flat ring (1) forming part of the seat frame (8). Each assembly has a block (2) on each side which forms the lock. The block has two pins at the back (5a, 6a) and two at the front (5b, 6b) spaced apart to slide freely over the ring. When the assembly is in the required position, a pivoting lever (7) between the front pins is rotated and a cam locks the assembly in place. Weight applied during use increases this lock.
