Abstract

There is a moving cheek (1) and a fixed cheek (2) mounted, for example, on the back and seat respectively. The external seating (3) is formed around a circular hole (7) and has internal teeth (6). The seatings (3), (4) are held together by pins (10) through the cheeks. In the hole (7) is a toothed sector (12) on a pivot (14) on the fixed cheek. The pivot is above the pivot axis of the two cheeks so that the teeth tend to separate due to the weight of the sector. The sector is controlled by a cam (18) on a lever controlled by a spring (26), the spring tending to urge the mobile cheek into a position in which the teeth are disengaged when the cam is in an unlocking position.
