Abstract

The object is passed through a zone of critical max. temp. and time, and of a critical temp. decrease rate. The object is pulled through an induction coil and through a cooling station at a distance from the coil; the temp. of the part of the object in the coil is measured and energy supply to the coil adjusted, so that each part of the object reaches a max. temp. of 825 to 1100 degrees C while the part is moved through the space between the coil and the cooling station.
