Abstract

Tube to be bent for use in, e.g. boilers, heat exchangers etc. is advanced axially towards induction coil during preheating. This produces narrow constant temp zone prior to deformation. During deformation bending carriage moves along horizontal template shaped with Archimides curvature and induces axial compressive conforms to curvature and induces axial compressive movement to tube in accordance with transverse bending movement. Tube are produced with constant wall thickness and with freedom from buckles.
