Abstract
The electrical heater, for delectrically conducting fluids consists of an insulating housing (10) with two electrodes between which the fluid flows. Current from the electrodes passes through the moving fluid to earth and thereby heats it. The outer electrode (21) has a funnel-shaped central hole corresponding to the outer tapered surface of the inner electrode (22) and the two electrodes are spaced to leave a gap (23) between for the fluid. Electrical connections are made to the electrodes via insulating leads and the inner conical electrode is held in place by an axial bolt. The heater reliably heats the fluid quickly.
