Abstract
The arrangement for improving combustion energy utilisation, especially in furnaces, uses saturated steam which is blown directly into flame. Water is dissociated and the heat of combustion of hydrogen is given to flame. This arrangement increases energy yield by twenty percent. The energy output is controlled by regulating steam injection together with burner regulation. A long steam generating and injection pipe (13) extends with its whole length through the furnace (1). This pipe may have a number of turns and its free end is held in the furnace flames. Water is fed in droplets into the evaporation and injection pipe by water supply valve which is coupled to the fuel supply control valve.
