Abstract

The analogue time display for a timepiece mechanism uses a mobile element (1), for progressively masking the dial face (2) so as to provide an indication of the hour by its angular position relative to the latter. The mobile element (1) is driven by a finger (11) integral with a plate (12) fixed to the shaft (7) of the hour wheel (8) and is acted on by a spring bias. The finger (11) cooperates with a cam (13) after rotating through an angle corresponding to 360 degrees so as to release it from the mobile element (1), to allow it to return to its initial position under action of the spring bias.
