Abstract

The machine can be used to cut lawns, brushwood, and shrubs and is hand propelled. The machine comprises a rotary mower knife blade (1) mounted inside a rear housing (2) and a front part (3) with handle (4). A rear axle (7) with wheels (8) is mounted on housing (2), while the forward housing has an axle (9) with wheels (10). Blade shaft (12) protrudes through the housing and is fitted with a drive pulley (14) driven through a shaft (15) from engine pulley (16). The front housing (3) can be removed, and wheels (26) on stub axles (25) can be fitted. In this way part of the travel of the cutter blade is exposed enabling it to deal with bushes, shrubs, etc. The knife blade can be replaced by a circular saw blade when dealing with shrubs.
