A graas-cutting appliance comprises a downwardly curved cutting- blade 7 secured to a motor-driven shaft and outwardly and forwardly projecting guide-blades 19 and 20 for collecting grass near walls. The handle 5 is reversably mounted on the motor 1 and guards 16 are provided for protecting the operator from the blade. The appliance is carried on three wheels.
