Abstract
The frequency monitoring circuit consists of an n-bit shift register, a logic network and a voltage controlled oscillator. A correction pulse for the VCO setting to a first output is generated through an OR gate connected to the shift register bits (n-m) to (n-1), during coincidence with the O-th bit. This correction pulse is suppressed at coincidence of the n-th bit with the O-th bit. A correction pulse appears at this second output when there is coincidence neither with an (n-m)-th to (n-1)-th bit, nor with the n-th bit.
