Abstract

The electromagnetic lock is used for example for a fire protection flap which is remotely operated for unlocking and for holding in open or closed position. This lock arrangement has low power consumption, it is reliable and it can be fitted to a wide range of different actuated cover flaps. The armature (12) is mounted on a central pin (11) on a basic body (1) so that the armature is able to rotate. The armature can also be moved along the pin over a short distance and it is provided with eccentric holding components (14). A constant air gap is maintained between the armature and the basic body when the arrangement is unlocked.
