Abstract

Machine for degreasing workpieces with a solvent uses a vertical tank contg. from the bottom upwards: (a) a liq. zone with a heater; (b) a vapour zone; (c) a cooling zone using a vertical condenser contg. a circulating coolant; (d) a drying zone contg. a vertical condenser, (e) the loading zone; and with a work basket moved vertically up and down, plus a gutter for returning condensate to zone (a). The novelty is that the tank also contains a mobile, horizontal rinsing condenser in zone (b), a coolant flowing through this condenser. Used for degreasing of parts with a small or medium size in the vapour and liq. phases of a chlorinated solvent.
